Laura A. Yiengst is originally from Littleton, Colorado. After high school, she attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, minors in Psychology and Sociology and a Certificate in Criminal Justice. Her Juris Doctor degree is from the University of Colorado. After graduation, Ms. Yiengst took and passed the Delaware, Pennsylvania and Colorado Bars. She is currently inactive in Colorado and Pennsylvania. She is admitted in all Courts in Delaware as well as Federal Court and the U.S. Supreme Court.
After clerking for the late Judge Sugerman in West Chester, Pennsylvania, Ms. Yiengst took a position with the Delaware Attorney General's Office in Kent County, assisting in development of the Domestic Violence unit. She then went into private practice where she has focused mainly on the area of Criminal and Family law. Additionally, her practice areas include Civil Litigation, Contracts, Collections, Mediation and Parent Coordination.
Ms. Yiengst is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; Delaware Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; Delaware State Bar Association and the following sections: Family Law, Small and Solo Practitioners and Alternative Dispute Resolution; Kent County Bar Association; Terry-Carey Inns of Court; and Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Ms. Yiengst has over twenty (20) years of experience. She maintains an office and residence in Kent County, Delaware, but actively practices throughout the entire state. She is committed to personal, professional and compassionate service.
